The New Fremont Chess Club recently concluded a G 90 swiss tournament that ran for 4 Fridays starting from August 14- Sept 11, 2009 (except for August 21). The turnout was rather modest (11 entries), given that the once a week Friday game schedule was sand witched between some high profile weekend tournaments around this time - Central CA Oopen @ Fresno and the Labor day chess @ SFO. Though I could not play in this 4 round swiss, I had the privilege of observing some of the games. The tourament is now rated and you can see USCF website for results. Bay area master Richard Koepcke and Hovik Manveleyan locked horns in a interesting duel. Here is my first attempt at annotating a game that I did not play myself. My comments are embedded in the chess viewer below (read my annotations at the bottom as you move the pieces). I welcome your feedback. Enjoy!
